Carry van Delft – Abstract Florals and Landscapes
The paintings of International Contemporary artist Carry van Delft (Rotterdam 1949) are known for their emotive and expressive style of painting. They show her fascination for the immense diversity of nature. Her work is sometimes abstract then again on the edge of figuration.
The (mainly large) floral works include full flowery fragments but also garden and field impressions. They are often exuberant, abundant, explosive.
In her landscapes she explores the moods of the location creating a sense of mystery and tranquility in which the viewer can literally dream away.
Her exhibitions include more than 50 selected exhibitions in Europe and Overseas. (including The Netherlands, France, Germany, United States, Belgium, Hungary, Italy) in galleries, international art fairs, biennale, regional museums, as well as outdoor art projects.
She is alternately working in The Netherlands and France.
Works can be found in art rental, corporate and private collections in The Netherlands and abroad.
With my work I want to evoke memories to places where one can wander through certain moments of time. The real experience may have been gone, but its memory is put on canvas. Atmospheric landscapes but also abstract exuberant flower scenes. The diversity and contrasts of nature always remain a fascinating subject for me.
